The below model (aka Experience Fluctuation Model) shows the feeling that is triggered in our mind (how you feel about the work) corresponding to the different skill-challenge ratios.
To positively improve how you feel about your work try choosing the challenging tasks/responsibilities at work rather than choosing the easy ones.
You need to set the right balance between challenge and skill to keep things interesting.
if you’re stuck with low-challenging work
find a way to make it more challenging so it meets your skill.
A few techniques to give you some idea; try to do it in a different way every time, add some more difficulty to it, and experiment with the task routine with different tools and methods.
adjust the challenging level
Shrink the ‘deadline’ to increase the difficulty level of a task. Or you can raise the bar in terms of the quality of the output.
