In this edition, I am introducing you to 2 new note-taking apps that handle connections between notes visually. If you see the screenshots you’ll understand what I am telling.
So far these two apps were in private beta, now it is accessible to all. Both apps offer a free trial for you to try. If you’re new to note-taking and a beginner of PKM, then I skip this and try another tool from the tools repo.
Visual note-taking is a new trend, which I am not a big fan of, yet. But I am happy to test them for my readers.
Scrintal
Take notes visually (more than in a document) and connect them in any way you want. It is more like a mind-mapping tool with rich note-taking features.

Napkin
You take notes in pieces and add tags to them. Then they connect with other pieces of notes. They form a group (automatically organized in a pleasing effect around the note in view). The app suggests the tags and it adds them if you even forget to do that based on the contents of the notes.
Not suitable for long-form note-taking. I like the serendipity of revisiting other notes when I open one.

That’s it, folks. See you in the next edition of Snippetter. Do you know each Snippetter issue only takes a minute to read?
